Government of Canada – Department of Natural Resources: Line 3 Indigenous Advisory Monitoring Committees for Energy Infrastructure Projects – Virtual Webinar Series

Project Description:
Many Chief Consulting Ltd. provided virtual event management and coordination services for the Indigenous Advisory Monitoring Committee (IAMC) for Line 3, supported by the Department of Natural Resources. The project aimed to deliver a six-part webinar series designed to engage Indigenous communities along the Line 3 pipeline route, providing updates, capacity-building opportunities, and a forum for dialogue.
The webinars focused on emergency management, Indigenous land management best practices, funding opportunities, and updates on the work of the Line 3 IAMC, creating an online space for meaningful engagement and information sharing between Indigenous representatives and project stakeholders.
Key Project Tasks:
Communications Strategy: Developed and executed a targeted outreach plan to promote awareness and participation in the webinar series.
Outreach and Registration: Engaged with over 1,500 Indigenous representatives along the Line 3 route and managed online registrations.
Webinar Delivery: Coordinated and hosted a six-part, one-hour virtual webinar series, focusing on capacity development for Indigenous communities.
Technical Support: Provided platform management and technical support for speakers and participants during each session.
Outcomes:
Successfully delivered six webinars to more than 300 Indigenous participants.
Gathered participant and speaker feedback to provide recommendations for future webinar series.
